Q Where is the tire depot located?

A At Ismaning, easy to find just off the Garching-Sud exit (71) of the A9 Munich-Nurnberg Autobahn. From BMW Welt (where you collect your vehicle) it is only about a 10-minute drive. From the tire depot to Harms (where you deliver your car for its onward delivery to the USA) it is an easy 5-minute journey. Full directions are provided to you on your confirmation.

Early run to shake out the jetlag and travel problems? Nymphemberg park is very close or travel to Englischergarten?

Tour BMW Factory? This will take 4 hours with travel, tour, etc. Factory is closed on Thursday.

Spend day touring Marienplatz and museums. Good walking tour listed in Daytrips Germany.

Dinner at/near airport? Or near hotel? There are supposed to be nice restaurants in the Nymphenberg neighborhood.

Do we want to take subways to get from airport to hotel @ around 18 Euro, or book a private ride with Rolf (Bimmerfest recommended) for 50 Euro? Might depend on how much luggage we're taking :)

Sights to target

We are staying at the quaint hotel Laimer Hof. This place has been rated very highly by multiple books for traveling Germany. One book goes so far as to call the couple that runs Laimerhof "possibly the nicest couple in Germany" ... we love that! Even if we find a nicer couple, it's nearly certain that the Laimerhof is a place we want to stay! So much so, that we're staying there twice and looking forward to sharing our trip with the die Familie der Laimerhof.
